1. Who Operates MITA
MITA is operated by MITA Music, Inc. For privacy requests, contact: webmitamusic@gmail.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information MITA collects, why, how it is used, and the choices you have regarding your data.
2. Personal Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information: • Account: name, email, phone number (provided at registration/onboarding). • Artist profiles: stage name, bio, genres, photos, portfolio images, demo mixes, video links, social media links, pricing, location, and calendar availability. • Service listings: equipment, studio, educator, and event space listings with photos, pricing, and location. • Booking data: event type, date, location, budget, guest count, and event details provided when requesting a booking. • Messages: chat content between users within the MITA inbox, including booking-related conversations. • Payment data: transaction amounts, fees, and payout details. Card details are processed by Stripe — MITA does not store full card numbers. • Reviews and ratings: feedback submitted after completed bookings. • Verification documents: identity or business verification materials submitted for account verification. • Contracts and signatures: digital signature documents and signed agreements. • Support requests: support ticket content and communications. • Referral data: referrer email and referral signup records. • Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and session cookies for authentication and security. • AI inputs: preferences and booking history sent to AI features for recommendations; photos uploaded to AI Photo Studio.
3. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used to: provide the marketplace and booking platform, facilitate communication between users, process payments and artist payouts, send transactional notifications (email and SMS), provide AI-powered recommendations and photo generation, verify identities, prevent fraud and off-platform payment bypass, comply with legal obligations, and improve our services.
4. AI Processing — AI Assistant & AI Photo Studio
MITA uses AI features powered by third-party AI providers via the Base44 platform: • AI DJ Finder: sends your event preferences (budget, guest count, vibe, genre) and your booking history to an AI model to recommend DJs. The AI provider may process this data to generate recommendations. • AI Photo Studio: uploads your reference photos to an AI image generation provider. Generated images are stored and can be saved to your profile. What you should know: • Your prompts and inputs are sent to AI providers via the Base44 integration layer. • We do not control whether AI providers retain your data after processing — their retention depends on their respective policies. • We do not knowingly use your personal data to train AI models. Whether the AI provider uses inputs for training is determined by the provider and the Base44 platform configuration. • AI-generated content is stored in your MITA profile until you delete it. • To request deletion of AI-related data, delete the content from your profile or contact us at webmitamusic@gmail.com. If you are uncomfortable with AI processing, avoid using the AI DJ Finder and AI Photo Studio features.
5. Third-Party Processors
Your data is processed by the following third parties: • Base44 — cloud platform providing hosting, database, authentication, and AI integration. Your data is stored on Base44 infrastructure. • Stripe — payment processing and artist payouts (Stripe Connect). Stripe processes card data under its own PCI-compliant infrastructure. MITA does not store full card numbers. • Inforu SMS (Israel) — delivers SMS notifications (booking alerts, payment reminders) to your phone. • Resend — delivers transactional emails (booking confirmations, contract notifications). • AI providers (via Base44) — process prompts and images for AI features. Each provider has its own privacy policy and retention practices. We share only the data necessary for the stated purpose.
6. International Data Transfers
Your data may be transferred to and processed on servers outside your country of residence, including the United States (Stripe, Resend, Base44 cloud) and Israel (Inforu SMS). By using MITA, you consent to these transfers subject to applicable data protection laws.
7. Data Sharing Between Users
To facilitate bookings, certain information is shared between the relevant parties: the artist and the client can see each other's names and event details within the booking conversation. Contact details (phone, email) are shared as needed to complete the booking. We do not sell your data to third parties.
8. Data Retention
• Active accounts: profile and listing data is retained while your account is active. • Financial records: payment and transaction records are retained for 7 years to comply with tax and legal obligations. • Messages: chat conversations are retained while the booking is active and may be retained for dispute resolution. • AI-generated content: retained until you delete it from your profile. • Inactive accounts: we may retain non-financial data for a reasonable period and then delete or anonymize it. • You may request deletion of non-financial data at any time (see Your Rights below).
9. Security
We use TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit. Passwords are managed by the Base44 authentication platform. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe under its PCI DSS compliance. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Cookies & Tracking
We use strictly necessary session cookies for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or marketing pixels. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not function without session cookies.
11. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion from Settings Account. Deletion will remove or anonymize your profile, media uploads, and non-financial data. Financial transaction records are retained for legal compliance. To request full deletion, contact webmitamusic@gmail.com.
12. Children
MITA is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected data from a child, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. The "Last updated" date below indicates the current version.
